Bristol based sketch and improv group ‘Up the Antics‘ is bringing you a new episode of their show: The Antics Home Show. ‘Mashing together the styles of The One Show and Blue Peter, with a small sprinkle of anarchy, the Antics Home Show will showcase a variety of informative vignettes that aim to educate and entertain… or something in-between. Hosted LIVE from Antics Studios (a living room) you will have a chance to get involved and interact with the show from the comfort of your own home, alongside pre-recorded skits filmed by all of the members of Up The Antics and special live segments.’ The show will be streamed via The Bristol Improv Theatre Twitch channel on Saturday the 4th of July at 8pm. Recipe of the Week
I made the mistake of searching for cookie recipes whilst I was very hungry and when my eyes landed on this Giant Cookie recipe, I couldn’t help but share it for the Keeping Busy Show. This delicious sounding recipe is simple and easy to make and gives you a certain amount of freedom with treats you can include. For the full recipe and method go to their website and see below for ingredients including my own added suggestions!
- 200g butter at room temperature, plus extra for the pan
- 250g light brown sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 275g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 150g chocolate chips
- 100g other cookie fillings such as nuts, pieces of fudge or toffee, marshmallows, pretzels or even chopped pieces of your favourite chocolate bar!
- Vanilla (or your favourite flavour) ice cream to serve (optional)
