A church in Peasedown St John is organising three free Summer Fun Days in August – for children in the local community.
St John’s Church in Church Road runs a full programme of children’s activities throughout the year (when Covid restrictions allow), and the school holidays are no exception!
Church Operations Manager, Rob Bubyer, said:
“For the first three Wednesdays in August, we will be making the most of the church’s outside space for children and their families to use.
We’ll have an inflatable obstacle course, bouncy castle, toys, crafts and activities for children to take part in.
Plus, we’ll be serving hot and cold drinks.”
St John’s Church has hosted Summer Fun Days and Children’s Clubs for over 10 years, making an impact on many youngsters lives in the community.
The events are free, but donations are welcome and will go to the church’s Little Ones toddler group.
All three Summer Fun Days will be held on 4th, 11th and 18th August, from 10am – 1pm at the St John’s Church grounds, Church Road, Peasedown St John, BA2 8AA
“We won’t be serving food, so children and their families are welcome to bring their own packed lunches,” added Rob.
These events will take place in line with Covid restrictions in place at the time.
Booking is essential and we are asking for families to book in for each of the three days.
St John’s Church is part of the ‘St J’s Group’ Anglican benefice, which covers the parish churches of St John’s Peasedown, St Julian’s Wellow, St James’ Foxcote and St Julian’s Shoscombe and is named after our three patron saints.
