The White Heart Inn comes to Bath’s Rondo Theatre

Apricity Theatre, Black Dog Productions & Dumb Blonde Theatre present The White Heart Inn at The Rondo Theatre, Saturday 30th October 2021.

This Halloween, critically acclaimed collaborators Apricity Theatre, Black Dog Productions, and Dumb Blonde Theatre are teaming up once again to bring you another terrifying theatre spectacular. Following the success of their previous show There’s Nothing There, the companies are joining forces to bring a second horror-comedy to the stage, with explosive fights from Black Dog’s Russell Eccleston and Tiffany Rhodes, and high-tension sound design from Echogenic’s Finn MacNeil.

The White Heart Inn follows five guests who arrive at the inn, each with a different expectation. To sleep, to explore, to hunt for ghosts. Things take a turn when they learn about the violent past of the very grounds they are staying on. The eccentric owners of the inn, Bethel and Hector, seem obsessed by the marshes next door. Local pride? Or a connection to something more sinister?

With queer themes and a feminist twist on the horror genre, the writing by Tiffany Rhodes, CJ Turner-McMullan and Russell Eccleston combines biting satire and tense social commentary. Tied together with direction from Dumb Blonde’s Emily Malloy, this laugh-out-loud, contemporarily relevant horror will have audiences of all ages on the edge of their seats.
